Funereal Oil Review: Twilight
An enigmatic, otherworldly scent, brimming with power and mystery. Lavender and jasmine, with a touch of glowing honeysuckle.
Acquired: imp from brigid @ lj
In the Bottle: Sharp jasmine and a touch of lavender. Something sweet that might be honeysuckle.
Wet: Sweet jasmine (an aspect I had liked in Phantasm), but the lavender seems to tamp down the sickly-sweet scent that jasmine can become.
Drying: Sweet jasmine turns into a kind of fresh and clean jasmine? That's only way I can describe it. It's not as overwhelming as most jasmine scents I've tried and certainly not as much as the actual flower. Again, I'm guessing it's the lavender helping.
Dry: Hm. So far this is the only oil to get stronger over time. It's not too overwhelming of a scent, but it's faintly soapy. But like a nice, expensive luxury soap.
Fade: Half an hour later the scent is still clinging nicely to my skin. And hour and a half later, the scent has faded quite a bit, but still there. Almost four hours later, the scent is almost comepletely gone, but it's clinging lightly to my skin.
Verdict: I like it a lot - more than I liked Phantasm. I'm definitely keeping the imp and might invest in a bottle on my next order.
