Illyria Review: Desdemona
Innocent, soft and pure: sweet pea, carnation and water lily.
Acquired: imp from magikalcrab @ lj
In the Bottle: Sweet and... watery? Definitely a sweet, clean smell.
Wet: On the skin it's a light floral. I can definitely smell the carnation, but I'm not sure what sweet pea smells like exactly. Overall it's a very pleasant floral.
Drying: It dries nicely and reminds me a little bit of Dirty - that same sort of fresh floral scent. The scent does start to change a little bit; not the same sharp kind of sweet as it was in the bottle, but a softer sweet if that makes any sort of sense.
Dry: Would it sound right to say that the scent it is a pastel-y floral? It's soft and light like that. It does take on a tiny bit of powder, but nothing that I mind.
Fade: Uhm. About 15 minutes after it dries, it turns into some weird... not sour exactly, but a floral I don't like. Almost what Ultraviolet did to me, but not as strong. Plastic-y, soapy floral. The scent has faded considerably by this time as well.
Verdict: I liked the way this started out, so I might give it another try somewhere down the line in case it was a weird body chemistry thing.
