Wanderlust Review: Kyoto

A gentle, soothing blend of cherry blossom, white sandalwood and star anise.

Acquired: imp from hellfire82 @ lj

In the Bottle: Kind of sweet, with a hint of spicy anise and sandalwood.

Wet: I think the scent sort of dies on my skin because I can't really smell anything. Thre is a sweet floral with anise, but it's not strong at all. Smells a bit like licorice.

Drying: Still very faint and it reminds me of the dried watermelon seeds my mother buys sometimes for snacks. I think the flavoring of that is licorice, too.

Dry: Hm. The salty licorice smell is a bit stronger now.

Fade: Stays pretty consistent for an hour, but I had to wash it off. And the scent is still on my skin.

Verdict: Not interested in a scent that reminds me of a snack food. Going into the swap box.
